Colorful Cartagena, Colombia!!!  

Colombia is the only country in South America that has coastlines on both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.  Cartagena’s history dates back to the 16th century and is known for its colonial architecture , beautiful and diverse landscapes, delicious coffee and rich cultural mix that makes the country's foods, music, dance, and art diverse and unique.

Cartagena is one of Colombia's safest cities with an average temperature is 80+ degrees which is great for us to spend lots of time in the pristine waters of the beautiful beach, take a healing mud bath at a natural volcano called "The Fountain of Youth", enjoy local street food and maybe even see the Pink Sea which is only available for viewing at certain times of the year. 

We have curated a special time for that includes dancing, beach party, exploring and relaxing.

All guest are required to follow CDC guidelines and  following requirements and recommendation for vaccinations and safety.  

Everyone is required to purchase travel insurance for this trip and all Best Life Travels trips.  This protects you in case of emergency or in case you need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances.  

Refunds:  Initial deposits are non-refundable after 24 hours of a booking. 

You will NOT be able to get any refund or credits should you need to cancel after September 1, 2025.  You would need to refer to your travel insurance for cancellations.

Imagine waking up to charming colonial architecture, savoring local flavors and unwinding in an intimate setting designed for comfort and relaxation.

Learn about music, food, people, customs and beliefs of the local culture. 

Visit traditional neighborhoods to understand the city from a geographic, cultural, social and economic point of view, including the picturesque/working class neighborhood called “GETSEMANI”  (where we will appreciate its interesting history and  culture depicted through murals, graffiti and of course its people).

Tour a village established by Africans who  escaped from slavery in the 1600’s where there are many ancient African practices still alive including a language (Bantú, that was mixed with Spanish and portuguese), traditional music and dances, way of living, customs, traditional medicine and spiritual beliefs.

This village was declared by UNESCO a "world cultural heritage site” in 2005.
